Our client is a global industrial technology world leader to identify an exceptional Senior Adviser – Africa Business Development & Government Affairs to help shape and accelerate its long-term growth across the African continent.

This is a high-impact strategic/lobbying role designed for a seasoned executive with strong market insight, government engagement capabilities, and a track record of developing business in complex and fast-growing environments.

 

Mission

As a trusted Senior Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the company’s Africa strategy, working closely with global and regional leadership teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the long-term Africa growth strategy across multiple business units
  • Identifying new organic and external growth opportunities in emerging and existing market segments
  • Building and maintaining high-level relationships with governments, institutions, and key stakeholders across African sub-regions
  • Acting as a strategic ambassador with industry associations and public institutions
  • Supporting venture and innovation initiatives in Africa, including collaboration with startups and investment opportunities
  • Developing education and talent incubator initiatives aimed at nurturing the next generation of African industry leaders
  • Strengthening brand visibility, CSR impact, and public affairs initiatives across the continent

 

Preferred profile

We are seeking Senior Executives with a strong Africa footprint, ideally combining strategic vision, industry expertise, and public affairs experience.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in industrial sectors such as mobility, automotive, filtration, mining, aftermarket, or related industries
  • 5+ years of leadership or executive management experience
  • Proven track record in business development and market expansion in Africa
  • Strong experience working with governments, institutions, and industry associations
  • Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluency in English and German.

 

 Scope: Pan-African

Location: Flexible with With a minimum of 2 out of 4 weeks of continuous on-the-ground presence in Africa / International exposure required.
