My client is one of the regional leaders in the 360° communications agency sector.

They are present throughout Africa through regional offices and national agencies.

My client is looking for the future Managing Director of his agency in Senegal.

 

The position

The Managing Director is responsible for supervising and controlling all strategic and business aspects of the company in the country. The MD plays a pivotal role and commercial growth of the company,

He/She is responsible for giving the proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success.

The MD also drives the company’s development and guides it towards long-term success in alignment with the global leadership team, taking action to enhance the company’s cash flow while ensuring that the human factor is taken into perspective.

 

For this position based in Dakar, Senegal, you will report to a Regional Director.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Strategic & growth plan Ownership:
  • Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
  • Define the company’s vision to drive innovation aligned with company’s identity
  • Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
  • Oversee client management to craft strategies, develop media & creative approaches and manage budgets to ensure client satisfaction
  • Drive business opportunities and growth with existing or new clients; being responsible for accounts wins across the Village
  • Oversee the planning and control of budget execution of all planned activities Management
  • Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics
  • Lead and motivate staff to enhance employee engagement and develop a cohesive, high performing managerial team and foster talent development
  • Spearhead creative excellence to strive for Media & Creative award nominations and wins
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs to ensure profitability with the support of the local finance team and the CFO
  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term financial goals
  • Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits
  • Analyze any issues or occurrences that may arise and propose solutions to ensure company endurance and growth

 

Your profile

  • An extensive 10+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Advertising, digital, consultancy background
  • Excellent managerial and financial skills, with proven ability in developing profitable strategies
  • Thorough understanding of corporate governing practices in all areas and phases of business operations
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management
  • Innovation-oriented with the ability to be agile
  • Analytical abilities with strong problem-solving skills
  • Superlative communication skills, particularly to lead and inspire as a leader
  • Technologically savvy
  • Advanced degree in business administration
  • French, English required
