The position
As Strategy and Development Manager for West Africa, you will define and communicate the business planning strategy for Distribution Services Division and provide management oversight to the product lines in relation to their progress toward accomplishing that strategy including the development and oversight of the business and financial metrics associated with the strategies. As a member of the senior management team for the region, you will lead local business unit strategy definition and communication, local business unit governance process and will present progress and challenges to the department during all employee meetings
Responsibilities
- Participate in strategy development to improve accountable profit result,
- Coordinate with Business Resources in the development of the annual business plan and strategy as well as 5-year plan and strategy,
- Develop annual business plans including responsibility for negotiating internal purchased service agreements, coordinating development of department expense budgets, creation of business statements for Distribution Services Division, and monitoring and reporting monthly results,
- Guide the division’s annual business plan, monthly rolling business management, long term forecast, volume flexibility planning,
- Align operational goals and objectives with financial targets and provide management required to achieve them,
- In alignment with financial metrics, develop operational metrics to enable effective performance monitoring and decision-making.
Your profile
You have a renowned university degree (engineering, business, or manufacturing), with financial background and strong business acumen. You have 15 years of progressively responsible job-related experience with supervisory experience. You have expert knowledge of a specific manufacturing process, an engineering discipline, business model, or maintenance process in one of company core businesses (construction, power and mining equipment). Exposure to north America corporate companies in similar domains is an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions. You must be fluent in English and French, and Mandarin is an asset.
