Réf. : TAM-AFR-07.2026

About my client

Company is a large leading global agribusiness group, active across grains, oilseeds, animal feed, rice, edible oils, cotton and other food and industrial value chains.

In Sub-Saharan Africa, the group operates a substantial industrial and commercial footprint: wheat milling, soybean crushing plants; and rice and edible oils distribution, alongside further specific operations in certain subsaharan countries.

Companby has been certified Top Employer in several African countries, reflecting its ambition to combine global agribusiness scale with strong local roots and long-term commitment to the communities and markets in which it operates.

To support its growth and workforce agenda across the continent, my client is looking for its future Talent Acquisition Manager – Africa.

The position

The Talent Acquisition Manager – Africa is responsible for structuring and driving the group’s talent acquisition strategy across its African operating countries, at the crossroads of recruitment delivery, employer branding, talent intelligence and academic partnerships.

Given the diversity of profiles required by an agribusiness operating across agronomy, industrial and plant operations, supply chain, trading and corporate functions, the role requires equal command of high-volume operational recruitment and senior/executive search processes, as well as a genuine understanding of agri-industrial talent markets in Africa.

Based flexibly in Sub-Saharan Africa, with frequent travel across the group’s operating countries, you will report to the Regional HR Director – Africa.

Responsibilities

Recruitment and search firm / HR partner relationship management

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for corporate, commercial, supply chain, trading and senior operational roles (agronomy, milling, crushing, plant operations…) across the African footprint.
  • Select, brief and manage a panel of executive search firms, recruitment agencies and HR partners per country or sub-region; negotiate terms and monitor delivery quality, timelines and cost.
  • Partner closely with country management, HR business partners and hiring managers to translate business and expansion plans into workforce and hiring plans, including around harvest cycles and plant commissioning schedules.

Employer branding and country strategies

  • Design and roll out an employer branding strategy adapted to each country and target audience – agronomists, engineers, plant/factory operators, finance, commercial and trading profiles, graduates…
  • Represent Company at career fairs, agribusiness forums and sector events across the region, and coordinate digital and on-the-ground employer communication.
  • Adapt messaging, channels and value proposition to local labour markets (urban vs. rural/industrial sites) and to the linguistic and cultural diversity of Francophone, Anglophone and Lusophone Africa.

Talent studies and sourcing pipelines

  • Design and lead talent mapping, compensation benchmarking and workforce studies across priority African markets and sectors (agribusiness, manufacturing, FMCG, supply chain) with consultants and external HR firms.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pools for critical and hard-to-fill roles (agronomy, milling/crushing operations, engineering, trading, finance).
  • Provide management with market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends and competitor positioning to inform workforce planning.

Schools and training institutions relationships

  • Develop and manage partnerships with universities, agronomic/agricultural engineering schools and technical and vocational institutes across Africa for graduate sourcing and internship programmes.
  • Support the design and continuous improvement of curricula relevant to Company’s operational needs (agronomy, food processing, industrial operations, supply chain), in collaboration with academic partners.
  • Build long-term early-career pipelines (graduate programmes, apprenticeships, work-study tracks) aligned with the group’s future workforce needs.

Your profile

  • Min 8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / recruitment, with hands-on exposure to all 4 dimensions of the role above.
  • Proven experience of Talent Acquisition on an Africa-wide scope, ideally within an industrial, agribusiness, FMCG or multi-country group.
  • Perfectly bilingual French / English, written and spoken, with the ability to operate confidently across Francophone and Anglophone Africa.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging with senior management, HR business partners, search firms and academic partners alike.
  • Structured, autonomous and results-oriented, with strong project management and analytical capabilities.
  • Genuine interest in agribusiness and agri-industrial environments, and willingness to travel extensively across the continent.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

The group and its leadership are committed to offering equal opportunities to all potential employees and have zero tolerance for discrimination. Company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants irrespective of age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability and other factors that have no bearing on an individual’s ability to perform their job.
